At the beginning of each year, we hold trials to select people to be on our teams. At the end of the year, these teams represent the university at the BUCS snooker competition. Starting from 2010/11, we have also competed in the BUCS 8-Ball Pool competition, and more recently in 2015/16, American 9-Ball Pool. During the first and second semester, our team members receive coaching from Tim Dunkley, an excellent, fully-qualified coach from Chandlers Ford. He helps us with all aspects of our game, from correct technique to tactics that are useful in typical game scenarios.
