Here at the University of Southampton, we are pleased to offer excellent opportunities for the cue sport enthusiast – beginner, casual or competitive. Our snooker room contains four full size snooker tables, which all have tournament standard lighting and are maintained to a very high standard. The room is located on level 3 of the main SUSU building, which is found by taking the stairs next to the SUSU reception down one flight, and following the corridor round to the right-hand side. There are also signs aplenty to help you find your way.

Members of the club benefit from free lighting for whole year and access to the members only storage facilities. You can find out more on our Membership page.

The room is open daily, weekends included, from 9am to 10pm.

The club prides itself on a good image quality, highlighted by the fact it has paid out to have all four tables re-covered in the past year using tournament grade cloth. They are well maintained as each table is brushed, napped and ironed twice per week. In addition, each table is covered overnight to preserve the cloth, resulting in a far better playing experience.

Clearly, we don’t do things by the half! All snooker balls provided at the University are Super Aramith Tournament Ball Sets – currently up there with the best available.
